Hi! My name is Randy Sams, a 45 year Benton resident and I am running to be your Saline County District 9 Justice of the Peace. As a conservative Republican I am concerned with the fiscal and social issues facing our community today as well as the direction those opposed to our Christian values want to move us toward. I believe the Quorum Court should be the “voice of the people” and, as such, must be accountable to the taxpayers of Saline county. I stand with the people of our county who believe in and live by this simple principle, “Regnat Populus, the People Rule”. I humbly ask for your vote on March 5, 2024, in the Republican primary.
Benton, AR – Republican Randy Sams, a 45-year resident of Benton, officially announced his candidacy for Saline County Justice of the Peace, District 9. The current District 9 JP seat is held by CJ Engel.
Randy and his wife Marla, a lifelong resident of Benton, have been married for 40 years raising their two sons where both attended Benton School District graduating from Benton High School. Randy is a graduate of Little Rock Parkview High School and attended college at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and Little Rock campus.
Mr. Sams has been a licensed insurance agent serving clients in Arkansas and surrounding states since 1986. During his 37 years in the industry, he has served as an independent agent as well as corporate level executive positions with two of the largest insurance companies in the country. Randy retired as President of Senior Division for Transamerica Life Insurance Company in 2014 after which he started SMMG Financial, LLC, focusing on educating and assisting clients prepare for the financial issues and risk they will face during retirement. Randy earned his C.L.U. (Certified Life Underwriter) designation from The American College along with his C.A.S (Certified Annuity Specialist) designation from The Institute of Business and Finance. Randy hosts the talk radio program “Your American Retirement” each Saturday morning on 101.1 FM out of Little Rock. Randy is an active member of the Saline County Republican Committee and a voting delegate of the Second Congressional District Republican Party of Arkansas.
Randy states “I fully support the Republican Party of Arkansas Platform and the conservative values it stands for. As a conservative Republican I am concerned with the financial and social issues facing our community today as well as the direction those opposing our Christian values want to move us toward. Issues of great importance include: protecting the lives of the unborn and their right to life; protecting our minor children from easily accessible sexually explicit books found in our libraries; and protecting our right to a fair and honest election process, which can only be accomplished by returning to local control of counting our ballots, rather than relinquishing that authority to out-of-state corporations. I believe the Quorum Court should be the “voice of the people” and, as such, must be fiscally accountable for and responsible with appropriating taxpayers’ monies to ensure the peace, order and safety for all Saline County residents. I stand with the people of our county who believe in and live by this simple principle, “Regnat Populus, the People Rule”.

Saline County must employ secure paper ballots, as we used successfully not too many years ago, and quit relying on corruptible voting computers. Your right to vote is sacred, and you should have confidence your vote counts as you intended.
I firmly believe in transparency and openness at all levels of government. County government should be responsible and accountable for how your tax dollars are spent.
As a conservative Republican, I recognize the importance of lower taxes to ensure economic growth and prosperity for Saline County.
I believe all unborn children have the right to live and am proud to live in a pro-life county. As citizens we must continue to protect the children of Saline County by removing sexually explicit materials from the children/minor sections in our county library.
